Begin by clicking on the "Online Registration" button above. This will bring you to the DCLIR Member Portal.
Choose the drop-down menu to select the upcoming term. There are several different boxes to help refine your search (category, dates, etc.) and below those boxes is a blue “Search” button to click on to reveal your search results. You may need to scroll down in order to see that blue “Search” button.
Members must be logged in in order to register. If you are not currently logged in, you will be directed to do so upon trying to register for a class.
Make sure that you are registering under your own name. When you register for a class, you will see the message, “Select the Contacts below that you want to register for this class.” If there are two individuals in the household, both names will be shown.
Repeat this process for each class you would like.
Once classes are added to your cart, you will have 60 minutes to checkout. The contents of your cart will not be saved beyond the 60 minutes.
You will notice some drop down menus as you go through registration. Not all boxes apply to DCLIR so do not be alarmed if you get an error message or are redirected to a previous screen.
Additional Class Information - Important Information please read
If you register for classes using the online portal, you will receive an email confirmation for each class. If the class is full, you have the option to be entered on the Waitlist. If you use the traditional paper registration form, you will receive an email confirming the classes requested after the registration is entered by the office staff. The email also includes any classes in which you are on a wait list. Please contact the office if you did not receive this information.
You may receive email class reminders from the coordinators and/or the office. Some emails may be generated through the online software coming from Door County Learning in Retirement/ some may be from the coordinator’s email address/ others from the office email, office@dclir.org, and include class information or handouts.
Inclement Weather - When NWTC or the Sturgeon Bay School District classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, DCLIR classes will also be cancelled. Watch or listen for school closings on your local TV, radio stations, or the website.
Other Considerations - Be aware that some classes involve walking over uneven terrain, stairs, and/or standing for long periods of time.
Door County weather changes quickly. Please consider and dress appropriately for the weather.
